About AcneTracker
AcneTracker is an evidence-based skincare reference: an ingredient dictionary, an ingredient-combination guide, an acne encyclopedia organized by type and location, and ingredient-first buying guides — alongside a free tracking tool that helps you find your personal breakout triggers.
We started as a tracking app. Users kept asking the same questions — can I mix these two products, why do I only break out on my jaw, what should a cleanser for my skin actually contain — and the answers available online were either marketing or medical jargon. So we built the reference we wished existed.
How our content is made
Every page follows a fixed, structured template: quick-fact data first (comedogenic ratings, pH ranges, irritation risk), explanation second. Claims about effects are grounded in published research and public regulatory databases such as the European Commission's CosIng, and each ingredient page lists its sources.
We do not publish sponsored rankings, affiliate 'top 10' lists or paid placements. Buying guides describe ingredient profiles — what to look for on any label — so the advice stays true regardless of which brand is in front of you.
What we are not
We are not a medical service. Our content is general information about cosmetic ingredients and common skin concerns. It never replaces an examination by a doctor or dermatologist, and every condition page tells you when professional care is the right next step.
